The mission of Penn Psychiatric Center’s school based outpatient therapy program is to provide quality behavioral health services to students in their natural school setting where they identify as experiencing difficulties that are impacting their educational success. PPC wants to work with students, teachers, and families to overcome behavior health issues that prevent students from achieving their academic potential.
What are the benefits of the School Based Outpatient Program?
Counseling and teaching students skills at an earlier stage of intervention can decrease the need for intensive services down the line.
Providing tools necessary to manage their own wellness will help students to grow, develop, and lead happy, independent, fulfilling and productive lives.
Cost effective intervention that will prevent later, more restrictive and costly school programs, mental health programs and involvement with other agencies and systems.
Receiving therapy without interrupting.
The ease of attending the appointments during the school day and at the schools location makes scheduling and attending appointments convenient.
Services are provided by highly qualified licensed therapists.
Most private and public insurance plans accepted.
In conjunction with the school based outpatient therapy program, Penn Psychiatric Center is able to offer psychiatric evaluations and medication management with one of our specialized child/adolescent psychiatrists in our office in Collegeville.
